Classic Chili With A Spicy Twist

Classic Chili With A Spicy Twist

Serves: 5-10

Prep Time: 30 min

Cook Time: 20 min

Ingredients:

1 ½ pounds lean ground beef 
1 cup chopped onion 
2 garlic cloves, minced 
1 tablespoon chili powder 
1 ½ tablespoons Pain is Good Batch #114 Jamaican Style Hot Sauce   
1 tablespoon ground cumin 
1 ½ teaspoon salt 
1 teaspoon ground black pepper 
2 cans diced tomatoes 
2 cans beans - pinto or kidney beans, drained and rinsed 
chili toppings

Instructions:

  1. In a 5-quart sauce pot, cook ground beef, onions, and garlic over medium heat. Stir occasionally. Cook for 8-10 minutes.
  2. Stir in chili powder, hot sauce, ground cumin, salt, and pepper
  3. Bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and add stir in beans.
  4. Bring pot to a boil on high, then reduce to medium. Stirring occasionally, cook uncovered for 20-30 minutes, until desired thickness. Enjoy!
