Our co-packing and private label partners choose us because of our dedication to creating high-quality, delicious products.
Our own brand lines include: Pain is good., Da’Bomb, American Stockyard, Kettlewood Combustion Co., and Fiesta Juan. Spicin Foods/Original Juan has received more than 200 national and international awards and honors.
Innovation and integrity are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in investing in high-quality ingredients, state-of-the-art equipment, and skilled and knowledgeable people. This has enabled us to grow our company from a 5,000 sq. ft. facility to a 60,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility. It is why we continue to grow every year. And it is why food service, retail, and specialty food industry leaders seek us out to make their products.
Joe Polo and his business partners form Original Juan Specialty Foods and begin production. Their facilities include a 17,000 square-foot building – a former car dealership and machine shop. They begin manufacturing micro-batch sauces and salsas and quickly build a reputation in the specialty food industry for creating delicious and unique sauces, salsas, and specialty food items.
Original Juan moves its headquarters and manufacturing facility to a 60,000 square-foot warehouse space on Southwest Boulevard. It includes a factory outlet & gift shop that is open to the public. They have 13 brands and produce over 150 unique specialty food products for their own product lines. “That variety is our competitive edge,” Polo says. “We’re nimble and quick,” he adds. The company continues to win awards and recognition for their business management, community involvement, and high-quality products.
Original Juan Specialty Foods weathers the economic recession by expanding its focus to business development through co-packing and private label partnerships. The Original Juan test kitchen team creates and scales recipes for food service, retail, and distributor partners. The company continues to grow and earns a reputation for creating high-quality micro-batch sauces for small and large specialty food companies.
Original Juan is acquired by Scott Morse and is renamed Spicin Foods. Morse is an experienced business owner and has big plans for the company. Morse says, “Joe and Christine Polo built a great business with a talented group of dedicated employees. I am honored to have had the opportunity to acquire Original Juan and plan to invest additional capital into the company to provide for additional product offerings and support future growth potential, never forgetting that the secret to success is in the unique flavors and high quality of the sauces we produce.
"THE SECRET TO SUCCESS IS IN THE UNIQUE FLAVORS AND HIGH QUALITY OF THE SAUCES WE PRODUCE." — SCOTT MORSE, CEO OF SPICIN FOODS
